I’ve been providing instruction at a number of element & wind driven adrenaline sports
for most of my adult life and enjoy helping people to learn.
I am an HPAC certified paragliding instructor with tandem rating. I have been flying since 2014.
I am also a certified windsurfing & kiteboarding instructor and have taught windsurfing since 1987 and kiteboarding since 2004 and
have also taught both skiing & snowboarding professionally.
Whether you’re looking to practice on your own, improve a specific skillset, or are interested in learning from the beginning,

I have instructor alliances in several locations and am happy to collaborate with other instructors.

I believe as a student it is optimal to have a broader understanding from many sources and

I design my lessons according to my students’ needs, with an emphasis on confidence-boosting activities & skill drills that emphasize muscle memory, so that ultimately you will instinctively know what do.

Between these different but related sports I have introduced literally hundreds of folks to adrenaline and sports fuelled by natures elements.

I loved it! I'm already a licensed P2 paragliding pilot, and flying a tandem flight with Sunchaser/Rod was a fun & informative flight that shifted my own flying, showed me more possibilities and increased my confidence & flying knowledge. Espescially in regard to learning how to fly thermals.
I took my daughter & I for a sunset flight at Pemberton with Rod & his pilot friend, Guy Herrington from Sea to Sky Paragliding . A truly amazing & inspiring experience, beautiful colours, serene buoyant air. I felt totally relaxed and confident with Sunchaser Paragliding.
A fun experience at Mt Woodside. We were able to climb up higher in the thermals than where we launched from and fly with my friends at the same time and soar with birds.
